Never been to a performance at the Puppet Theatre barge before?
This information should ensure your visit goes smoothly.
Remember it is a small theatre so please book in advance
in order to avoid disappointment.
TICKET PURCHASE AND COLLECTION
Tickets may be purchased on the phone or online and
collected on the day of performance, from the Box Office,
in the foyer on the barge. When booking please ascertain
the location of the barge.
WHEN TO ARRIVE
We recommend you arrive approximately 15 minutes before
the performance starts. Auditorium doors will open up to
30 minutes before the performance starts.
The ship’s bell will be rung to announce the start of the performance.
WAITING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS YOUR TICKET?
Do give the name of the person who has booked the tickets
to the box office staff who will arrange for you to be seated
in the appropriate seat.
BAGS AND BUGGIES
Please do not leave bags unattended in the theatre at any time.
Buggies can be left on the deck but remember to remove all valuables.
HOW TO FIND YOUR SEAT
Your ticket will be marked with the seat numbers Please ensure
that you follow the instructions for seating given by the staff.
Seating is worked out to ensure that everyone gets a good view
particularly the children.
LATECOMERS
If you arrive late, or leave the auditorium during a performance,
you will be asked to wait in the foyer until the interval or a suitable break.
COMFORT
There is a ship’s toilet on board for the customers use but we ask
that it only be used when it is urgent. It is operated by an electric
pump that pumps the effluent into a holding tank.
Please follow the instructions carefully.
CHILDREN AT THE PUPPET THEATRE BARGE
Children MUST BE accompanied by an adult. Babes in arms can
be admitted but if they cry or make a noise they must be taken out.
The Management reserves the right to ask patrons to remove infants
or children if they are causing a disturbance. Where performances
are specifically for adults, a recommended minimum age will be stated
in accompanying publicity. Unless otherwise stated in publicity material
or on the website, the upper age limit to qualify for a child's
concessionary seat is 16. Proof of eligibility may be required.
SAFETY AND COMFORT
Please don't put any coats or bags under your seats and, of course,
please don't leave your bags unattended at any time. To ensure the
safety of our customers please follow any instructions given to you
by the staff. The barge is inspected regularly by a Health and Safety
officer from the City of Westminster Council.
