Planning your journey to the Puppet THEATRE Barge

Ways of getting to the Puppet Barge at
(October to July)
(3 minutes walk) Warwick Avenue (Bakerloo line) - exit and walk up to the traffic lights, turn right into Blomfield Road and you will see the barge on your left opposite No 35, walk along the railings to the gate (opp. no 40) and back on yourself along the towpath to the barge.
(15 minutes' walk) Paddington - The footbridge over the platforms (near the end of the station furthest from the main concourse) connects to the canal towpath - follow the signs to "Sheldon Square" or "Paddington Central". To find the footbridge from the main concourse, walk along Platform 1 or Platform 8.

Alight at Warwick Avenue Station and follow instructions as from the tube (3 minutes walk)
Bus route 18:
Alight at Bishop's Bridge Road/Little Venice and walk up Warwick Avenue (3 minutes walk)
Bus routes 16, 98 & 332:
(From Edgeware road) Alight at Orchardson Street, Walk down Blomfield Road alongside the canal until you arrive opposite no 35, find the gate opposite no 40. (10 minutes walk)
Bus route 159:
Alight at Bishop's Bridge and walk up Warwick Avenue (5 minutes walk)
On-street parking is available in the area. At weekends there is no charge. On weekdays parking spaces must be paid for by mobile phone by pre - arrangement with Westminster Council. Electric cars are free on normal parking spaces.
Blomfield Road can be found via the M40 at the Paddington turnoffs. You have to find your way under the motorway when exiting from either direction. It also leads off Edgware Road and runs parallel to the canal on the north side. The address and post code for Sat Nav users is: 35 Blomfield Road, London W9 2PF. The barge is moored opposite this house.
BY WATER BUS: The Waterbus runs between Camden Lock Market and Little Venice every hour and the very pleasent journey takes 45 minutes.
BY PRIVATE BOAT: Little Venice is the junction of the Regent's Canal and the Paddington Branch of the Grand Union Canal. It can therefore be approached from the G.U. main line at Bull's Bridge (either from the Thames at Brentford or from the Midlands and beyond), or via the Regent's Canal from the Thames at Limehouse or the Lee Navigation via the Hertford Union Canal. There are visitor moorings at Little Venice.

Ways of getting to the mooring at Richmond - TW10 6UT
August & September,
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Go to Richmond station by train, tube or bus. From the station you can walk, get a no 65 bus to Terrace Gardens or a taxi.
BY CAR: Park the car in one of the town car parks. Find your way to the river front down Water Lane. From Richmond Bridge walk along the towpath for about 500 yards and you will come to the Puppet Barge on the right. You will pass the landing stage on your right and a couple of restaurants on the left. (Check detailed walking instructions above)
