Tóchar are a Glasgow-based fiddle and guitar duo offering thoughtful interpretations of traditional and contemporary Celtic material. Fran Barrett and Kai Dudley, who met on London’s vibrant session scene, stage performances marked by an intimate musical dialogue-with guitar and fiddle in lively conversation as equals. With a repertoire that moves freely from traditional tunes and songs to original compositions, Tóchar bring warmth, playful rapport, and a deep respect for the tradition to the stage. Regular hosts of sessions in London and Glasgow, they thrive in both intimate acoustic settings and on festival stages alike.

This gig marks the London launch of the duo’s EP, Causeway, a short collection of predominantly self-penned tunes which have become the centrepiece of their live performances. With each track recorded in a single take at Outtake Studios in Glasgow over the course of an afternoon, Causeway is an unaffected reflection of the duo’s live sound.
