The Embers Collective & Something Sleeps on The Puppet Barge
The Embers Collective and Something Sleeps are climbing aboard The Puppet Barge for a
magical evening of stories, songs and poems.
The Embers Collective have spent years creating shows combining storytelling and live
music that’s taken them to festivals and theatres across the UK and abroad. They’ve hosted
their own radio show, produced a monthly podcast and been commissioned to create work
for the London Literature Festival, The Southbank Centre, History Hit TV, The National Trust
and Wilderness.
Something Sleeps blend exquisite vocal-harmonies through a dreamy underbed of guitars, shruti box and clarinet, creating a dream-like experience with their vocal harmonies and emotionally provocative lyrics. Their debut album was released by Cuculi Records and was played across BBC Radio and saw them touring the UK Festivals, playing iconic venues such as The Green Note (London) and Band On The Wall (Manchester) as well as supporting Martin & Eliza Carthy. They have recently been awarded a mentorship pathway with Sound Roots UK (English Folk Expo/Manchester Folk Expo) and their second album is due to be released in 2027, partially funded by EFDSS.
